- ★ ☆ ☆ ☆ ☆Not happy with our experience here. This year we had a more difficult tax situation and decided to have professionals take a look instead of doing it ourselves on TurboTax like usual. The lady was very unhelpful and seemed new (not very knowledgeable). We found several mistakes in her initial reports. Sat for an hour with her coworker over her shoulder "fixing" things. We left with our paperwork and never went back. I did our taxes on TurboTax anyway and saved more money than if I had gone with Block Advisors. OH AND...they were saying if we filed with them it would be $550-700!!! I'd have been happy to pay them if they actually performed a service and helped me in a way that I didn't know how to help myself. We got zero recommendations/insight/help from them. They never once followed up to see if we had questions or if we were planning on coming in again. TL;DR Use TurboTax online by yourself and never go to Block Advisors (can't speak for H&R Block regular offices).By Sarah Bjorklund, December 05, 2016
